There are three different cancellation policies:

• • Full refund 14 days >:Renter is entitled to full refund of monies paid for all cancellations made at least fourteen (14) days prior to the rental start date.  For example:  If cancelled 14 or more days prior to the rental start date refund is 100%.  If cancelled from 13 days – 7 days prior to the rental start date then the refund is half (50%).  See below.

• • 50% refund 14 days <:Renter is entitled to half (50%) refund of monies paid for cancellations made within 13 days – 7 days prior to the rental start date.  For example:  If cancelled 7 days – 13 days from the rental start date refund is 50%. 

• No refund 7 days<:If a cancellation is made within seven (7) days prior to the rental start date, the booking is non-refundable.  

Full refund is provided for any cancellations made within twenty (24) hours of booking.

If the renter initiates the cancellation, this cancellation policy applies.  Should Crossover Trailers need to cancel the reservation for any reason, the renter will promptly receive a full refund.

Absolutely!   You must possess full comprehensive and collision insurance that cover rental trailers before embarking on your journey.

Yes, a security deposit is necessary to secure your rental trailer.  The deposit will be refunded within 5 days after the trailer is returned, provided there is no damage or missing gear/equipment.  In the event of damage to the trailer or missing gear/equipment, the replacement and/or repair costs will be deducted from the security deposit.  If the security deposit does not cover the required repair or replacement expenses, a claim will be filed with your insurance.

You are fully responsible for the entire trailer while it is in your possession.

Equipment Accountability:  Ensure that all kitchenware, gear, and equipment provided with the trailer are returned along with the trailer.  Any missing items will incur additional charges as listed under Replacement Cost for Missing or Damaged Gear and Equipment below.

Paint Protection:  While traversing dense bush areas, the trailer's paint may be at risk of damage.  We recommend using a spotter—a person who guides you through challenging terrain—to prevent scratches.  Any wear and tear to the paint will result in a detailing fee of $250.

Your cooperation in maintaining the trailer's condition is greatly appreciated.  These measures ensure that each customer receives a well-maintained and fully equipped trailer for their adventure

Absolutely!  We recognize the value of disconnecting from the daily grind and immersing oneself in nature for a rejuvenating escape.  To encourage more people to experience the great outdoors and return feeling refreshed, we offer a 15% discount on bookings lasting over 7 nights.  Additionally, we extend our gratitude to active duty military members, veterans, law enforcement officers, and first responders.  Simply email us a copy of your service ID, and we'll provide a discount code for 10% off your rental.  A minimum rental of 2 nights is required.  Discounts cannot be combined.

Upon your schedule arrival, you and one of our team member, together, will do a comprehensive walkthrough to set an agreed upon condition baseline of the trailer you will be renting.  A thorough review of the entire interior and exterior, including the undercarriage and the roof.  All pre-existing damage(s) will be recorded on our Departure Form.  You are more than welcome to point out any damage or wear and tear that you see and it will be recorded on the form.

In addition, a full inventory of kitchenware, gears and equipment will be conducted.

Any damages noted on the Return Form that were not listed on the Departure Form are the renter's responsibility and will be charged to the renter accordingly and will be deducted from the security deposit.

To ensure sufficient time for both 'Departure-Check-out' and 'Return-Check-in' process, we schedule one-hour appointment windows for each rental with a dedicated team member.  Timely arrival for your trailer pick-up is crucial to avoid delays that may impact subsequent guests and our team’s schedule.  

The trailer you have may be scheduled to go out, causing conflict for the next customer.  Please note, a late fee of $25 will be charged for arrivals more than 15 minutes late for either pick-up or return.  Additionally, failure to call and arriving more than 45mins late for departure-check-out will result in the cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of your payment.  Failure to call and arriving more than 45mins late for return-check-in will result in being billed an additional day.  Please call right away if you are going to be late.

There's no set limit on the distance you can travel with our trailers as long as it’s within the lower 48 states.  However, we do require your itinerary and the precise final destination of your trip.  Providing us with this information ensures that we can offer appropriate advice and support should any issues arise during your journey.

We want every customer to fully enjoy their adventure without the worry of forgetting essential items.  That's why our trailer rental package is designed to be all-inclusive, providing you with everything you need for a seamless journey. Yes, our trailers use a special hitch system that allows for three axes of movement, including 360 degrees of rotation. This enables the trailers to navigate a wider range of terrains compared to a traditional ball hitch.  The hitch and hitch receiver connectors are included with your trailer rental.

Not a problem.  If you need to extend your rental, please login to your account on  www.xotrailers.com  or call us to extend your rental period before the return date and time.  Failure to extend your rental during the rental period will cause a conflict in our inventory and another customer’s reservation.

• Utilize a spotter to assist with backing up the trailer.
• Maintain a towing speed of no more than 65 MPH.
• Ensure the jack is fully raised before departing.
• Make sure the trailer break is released before departing.
• Make wider turns at corners and curves to accommodate the trailer being towed.
• Regularly check the trailer tire pressure.
• During stops, always inspect the hitch coupler to ensure it is securely connected with the safety R-clip cotter pin in place.  Additionally, verify that the trailer connector is fully inserted into the 7-way socket or the 4-way and that the safety chains are properly attached to the vehicle.

When driving on rough roads like washboard trails, be sure to air down the trailer's tires to 20 PSI (if you have an air compressor) and always drive slowly to avoid damaging the trailer.
